About My Lessons

Sa-Wud-Dee Ka (Hello in Thai), my name is Nong. I cook and follow the original Thai taste, the way my mum taught me when I grew up in Chaing Rai. I am a good chef because I love the real taste of food; for example if I eat Asian food, I must create the real taste like in Thailand or whichever cuisine I cook, Italian, Mexican or Chinese.

I do not use any salt, MSG, chicken stock or canned products in my food. Only fresh ingredients goes into what I make. All my dishes, curry paste and sauces are make from scratch and you will be able to ease the difference! The flavours, aromas and colour will help make your experience unforgettable!

I cook Thai food at least 4 times a week for my family. I love Thai food because it is healthy, fresh, very tasty and not expensive. My favourite Thai dishes are Tom Yum, every curry, fried dishes and noodles, ok I like pretty much every Thai dish and I love to cook and eat!

Lesson Option 1 – Shop and cook two dishes

Description: Private lesson, not including the cost of ingredients. I will give you a shopping list of ingredients required for your chosen dishes. The cost of ingredients depends on the dishes you choose, usually around £20 – £30. I will drive to your kitchen to prepare and cook two Thai dishes of your choice.

Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours

Cost: 1 person £49  |  2 people £65 (£32.50pp)  |  3 People £80 (£26.60pp)

Lesson Option 2 – Cook two dishes

Description: Private lesson, including the cost of ingredients. I will travel to your kitchen with all the ingredients needed to prepare and cook two dishes of your choice. This option would suit people buying a gift voucher and want to include all costs. Please note; Seafood options are excluded or an additional £2 per person, per seafood dish, can be charged.

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours

Cost: 1 Person £65  |  2 people £85 (£42.50pp)  |  3 People £115 (£38.33pp)

Lesson Option 3 – Cook one dish

Description: Private lesson, including the cost of ingredients. I will travel to your kitchen with all the ingredients needed to prepare and cook one Thai dish of your choice. A great option for an affordable gift voucher or a taster into the delights of Thai cuisine. Please note; Seafood options are excluded or an additional £2 per person, per seafood dish, can be charged.

Duration: 1 to 1.5 hours

Cost: 1 Person £40  |  2 people £55 (£28.50pp)  |  3 People £65 (£21.66pp)

Further Information

Availability – I can be very flexible and would like to make individual arrangements with students. My general availability is from Monday to Friday – 10 am-2 pm or 5 pm-9 pm if my husband is at home to look after the kids! I can also teach Saturday afternoons but they get booked up well in advance and are subject to a £10 weekend surcharge payable on the day of your lesson.

Location – I travel to have lessons in your kitchen but may have to charge an extra small fee if I have to drive more than 30 minutes from B27.

Bookings & Enquiries – You may choose to buy a gift voucher or book a lesson using the online booking form. Please book as far in advance as possible as my lessons are very popular and I can get very busy.

Your Kitchen - You will need a fully equipped kitchen with a gas or electric hob and lots of worktop space. I will prepare most utensils and bring them with me just in case you do not have the equipment needed for the lesson. Please make sure your kitchen and utensils are clean before my arrival so we can simply have lots of fun cooking healthy Thai food!

Cancellations – Can be made 3 days in advance of the lesson but a charge may be added for cancellations within 3 days of the booking. I try to avoid a cancellation fee where possible, but this does depend on other bookings, if I have had to prepare ingredients and peak times. Please contact me to discuss further.
