York Thai Language Teacher

Availability: I am available on Sundays at any times and Mondays till 4 pm. From Tuesdays to Saturdays, I am only able to teach between 15.00-17.30 pm.

Where do I teach?: I teach most of my lessons in a local cafe, library or at my clients house or workplace. I may charge a small fee to cover travel costs, please enquire for more information.

About Me: I am a Thai native and have been learning English for 4 years and living in the UK since late 2009 for working and studying. I have just finished my study in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages at York St. John University and have obtained the working visa called a 2-year post-study work visa since October 2010.

I am an active person and enthusiastic to learning something new and meet new people. My hobbies are mainly reading books, particularly pedagogical journals / research and leisure-time books. I am really interested in leaning different cultures as it is the effective way for me to visualize the world and how different kinds of people live.

Experience and Education: Before coming to the UK, I had English teaching experience for 1 year and studied Thai studies course for teaching foreigners who are interested in learning Thai language and culture. I can consider myself as an English teacher who speaks Thai as the native language.

I believe that in terms of teaching, native speakers are the most effective people who suit language teaching jobs and if they have also finished in the area of teaching, the techniques can be employed more effectively which I strongly believe I am categorized into this type of people who are confident in how to improve my students’ language proficiency with confidence.
